NextPage® Accomplishes Major Product, Partnership, Customer and Marketing Milestones in 2005

Milestones include Expanding Customer Base, Strong Product Upgrades, Partnering with Microsoft for Open Office and IM 2005 Award for Best Document Management Product

Draper, Utah - Jan. 9, 2006 - NextPage today highlighted its most important product, partnership customer and marketing milestones achieved in 2005 as the company continues to gain momentum as a leader in the desktop document management and collaboration space. At the heart of the company’s accomplishments was the first commercial release of its document management and collaboration tool, NextPage 1.5 Document Collaboration in February. This initial version was followed by another major release NextPage 2 Document Collaboration in September.

The NextPage solution quickly gained end-user and industry praise for its intuitive design, adapting itself to the way users work and enhancing a group’s ability to quickly and efficiently collaborate on documents using Microsoft Office tools and email. End-users have responded well to the solution and NextPage has significantly increased its customer base. Industry recognition and awards included:

Named to KMWorld’s 2005 Trend-Setting Product List, whose finalists were selected out of more than 1,200 offerings.
Awarded Best Document Management Product at the 2005 Information Management Awards and was chosen over 21 other finalists, including industry heavyweights IBM and EMC Corporation.

Accepted as a member of Ecma International, an international standards organization for information and communication technology and consumer electronics.
NextPage partnered with Microsoft Corp., Apple, Barclays Capital, BP, the British Library, Essilor, Intel Corporation, Statoil ASA and Toshiba to co-sponsor a submission to Ecma for the international standard for Microsoft Office Open XML document format technology.
Hand-selected as one of only 70 new companies to present its unique collaboration technology at the prestigious DEMO conference, which has earned a reputation for consistently identifying tomorrow's cutting-edge technologies, and has served as a launch pad event for companies such as Palm, E*Trade, Handspring and U.S. Robotics.
Achieved Certified Partner status and ISVSoftware Solution and Information Worker Solution certifications in Microsoft Corp.’s Partner Program, demonstrating expertise with Microsoft technologies and giving NextPage access to rich set of benefits, including training and support that give NextPage a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Darren Lee, NextPage’s president and CEO, spoke at the Microsoft Professional Advisory Council about how the company is reinventing document management with its technology. Mr. Lee also participated on the Connected Work panel at the Supernova 2005 conference.

Cydni Tetro, vice president of product and corporate marketing for NextPage and Tom Ngo, CTO for NextPage, were named as 2005 vSpring Capital Top 100 Venture Entrepreneurs as two of the top 100 professionals who are involved in startup businesses or would be most likely to lead a successful venture in the next five to seven years.
The company partnered with Podtech.net, the foremost Web site for podcast interviews on high-tech topics, to provide a document management and collaboration channel for its podcast site.
