nextPage® security strategies

Keep Permissions Simple

The NextPage products have a secure and extremely simple model for permissions that builds on your existing e-mail identities.

Secure User Identity

NextPage products establishes a secure identity for every user. It uses this identity in version awareness, history displays and control.

NextPage identities are as secure as e-mail accounts. When new users first register with the NextPage service, they receive a license key via e-mail. As long as your e-mail system is secure, you can be confident that nobody else has access to license keys and NextPage identities.

Multiple Machine Support

A single user identity can be associated with multiple machines.

When you add a second or third computer to a NextPage account, NextPage sends an automated request to your e-mail address to confirm the action. Because only you can read your e-mail, only you can confirm this action.

Simple Permission Model

Unlike conventional centralized systems, where there is a single official copy of any given document, and other copies residing on personal hard drives are unmanaged. In these types of systems, access controls must be fairly complex to prevent the undesired destruction or replacement of shared data. With NextPage, each user maintains her own physical copies.
